History

Abbey Scaffolding prides itself in being a family run business that is dedicated to customer service.

Abbey Scaffolding Limited was founded by two brothers, George and Tom Lowe, in 1965. The original depot was adjacent to the Abbey Arms in Plaistow, East London.

The success of the company meant we rapidly outgrew the depot, we then moved to larger premises and are now based in Barking Essex.

Tom passed away in 1985. George continued to manage and expand the Company until 2006 when he passed away. Abbey Scaffolding Limited is now managed by his two sons, Colin and Brian Lowe, also his daughter Jacqueline Lowe.  They are confident that they can anticipate the growth and continued success of the Company even further over the next few years.

Our emblem is Tower Bridge. This is one of many major contracts awarded to the company throughout the years. Since that time we have worked on many prestigious sites mainly in London and the Home Counties.  In today’s ever changing market the Company strives to secure new contracts in all aspects of the scaffolding industry.
